(예금자보호 한도내) 그러나 주식을 사게 되면, 내가 10% 정도의 기대수익을 예상하고 들어갔지만 매일매일 시장 가격의 변화로 기대한 수익을 얻거나, 초과수익을 얻을 수도 있지만, 손실이 날 수도 있습니다. 한국시장의 경우 주식 가격의 하루 상하한 폭은 +/- 30%이고 미국은 그 마저도 없습니다. 따라서, 주식은 매일매일의 가격의 변동이 정기예금하고는 비교할 수 없이 큽니다. 우리는 이 **가격 변화를 변동성이라고 부르고 이 변동성이 큰 것을 상대적으로 '위험이 더 크다'**라고 합니다. 왜냐면 변동성이 클 경우 상승할 가능성도 높지만 하락할 가능성도 높아지기 때문입니다. ### 높은 변동성이 위험한 이유 조금 더 깊은 얘기를 해 보겠습니다. 사람들의 심리는 상승할 때의 효용보다는 하락할 때의 공포감이 더 큽니다. 1억원을 투자할 경우 1,000만원의 수익에 대한 효용보다는 1,000만원 손실에 대한 스트레스가 더 큽니다. 이것은 주식시장 등 투자 시장에서 아주 잘 나타납니다. 대부분의 투자 자산들은 가격이 오를 때는 완만하게 오릅니다. 반면 가격이 하락할 때는 기울기가 가파릅니다. 네, 맞습니다. 상승할 때보다 하락할 때 가격의 변동성이 커집니다. 그래서 보통의 경우 변동성이 커지면 하락 위험이 커진다고 생각합니다. ### 내재변동성 : 불확실성의 척도 자산 고유의 내재 변동성은 보통 과거 일정 기간의 수익률의 표준편차(변동율)로 산출합니다. 그것이 매일매일 가격이 표시되는 자산들의 특성을 비교할 수 있는 가장 효율적인 통계지표라고 생각하기 떄문입니다. --- # Agent Instructions This documentation is published with GitBook.
